Brendan Morrison Picked Up By Anaheim

You can scratch another player of the free agent list since center, Brendan Morrison, has been signed to a one-year deal with the Anaheim Ducks worth $2.75 million. The veteran player claims that he turned down more lucrative deals.
He’s still on the mend since undergoing his fourth surgery in two years (he had a torn ligament repaired on April 7, 2008). His injuries don’t seem to be affecting offers – he’s turned down “offers from nine teams including the Minnesota Wild, Columbus Blue Jackets and Los Angeles Kings.”
