Hopefully, it is minor but during last night’s game against the Calgary Flames, center, Daniel Brière (Philadelphia Flyers), left in the second period due to a groin injury.
I read on the Flyers’ official website that it’s not as bad as they feared and he is currently listed as “day-to-day” but will not be playing in Saturday night’s game against the Nashville Predators.
Earlier today the star player said: "It was a big relief this morning. There’s no doubt about it. It wasn’t as bad as we thought last night. I had a little workout this morning and I’m hoping to get back on the ice tomorrow, skating. I’m probably not expecting to play tomorrow night’s game, but after that anything is possible. It’s day-to-day after that…
[Dr. Meyers] said adhesions broke and there’s internal bleeding. It’s obviously swollen, but he also told me that it wasn’t abnormal. He’s seen this before. He said most guys go through ups and downs. It’s just a little downer right now and hopefully within a couple days I’ll be back to playing."
Last night was just Brière’s 12th of the season. He has five goals and four assists.
