Calgary Flames Hold on to Perfect Record

My Calgary Flames are #1 in the league right now and are off to a perfect start to the 2009-2010 season. Yes, I realize it’s still very early but this is historic. According to TSN, “the only other time the Flames won four straight games to start a season was when they captured their first-ever Pacific Division title back in 1993-94.”
The improved start comes along with new head coach, Brent Sutter, and I really think that he is making a major difference with the players and goaltender, Miikka Kiprusoff. We’re seeing the big names doing well but also guys like Eric Nystrom, Rene Bourque and Nigel Dawes stepping it up.
Tonight, they are going to host the Dallas Stars and it will be interesting to see what transpires. I would have liked to have seen Kip go up against Marty Turco but I’m hearing that the Stars will be putting Alex Auld in net for the first time this season.
After tonight, the Flames will start a two-game road trip on Monday against the Chicago Blackhawks followed by a matchup against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

I wanted to take this opportunity to invite everyone to check out a new kind of hockey game. Not fantasy, not a video game and not gambling but a whole new real-time experience that will heighten hockey fans enjoyment of the world’s greatest sport.
RealScorz Hockey gives all hockey fans, like myself and my son who I created it for, a new way to enjoy their team and connect with the players they root for.
I invite you so check the newly revamped site out. Sign up and give it a whirl. It’s completely free, there aren’t even any ads or banners.
And, coming very soon will be the mobile versions of the game so you can play on your iPhone or Blackberry.
The website is: http://hockey.realscorz.com
See you at the rink….
