Carey Price Proves My Point…

Carey Price has potential and the Montreal Canadiens are not afraid to test the baby goalie out. Yes, I just referred to him as a "baby goalie." He’s only 20 years old but he’s showing some real maturity between the pipes. The kid has started in 5 games and has lost just once and, still, it was an honorable loss.
Last night, the Habs played the struggling Toronto Maple Leafs (The Toronto Traveler has an amusing pre-game blog post about this – check it out). Price faced 46 shots on goal and allowed just 3 to trickle in to the net. I think this is a great example for a team like the Calgary Flames who have allowed their backup goalie, Curtis McElhinney to start just once and was also in for a portion or two other games.
Anyway, Carey Price has been awesome so far and I think that Montreal (who are 4th in the Eastern Conference) is doing the right thing.
