I say "Hats off" to this man. Chris certainly has not been my favorite player. He was too good for the NHL. In other words he always played the game with his heart and soul. Now in the twilight years, he get to play in his home town on his terms and teach the kids what the fun is about. We damn well need more of this giving back to the game.

get behind his dicision. you never know; he might still be playing this caliber of hockey in his fifties. Have ever thought about that situation.

If a European team won the cup it would be no big deal. Canadians were against american teams Playing for the cup at first but now it is a natural occurance and noone has a problem with it. People will get used to European teams quickly

I think that San Jose is a very good team...but it seems like the team just falls asleep when they enter playoffs. i think it will come down to the pens and the hawks in finals and i think the pens shall take it again.

Alright, lets start with the west. As of right now, detroit isnt doing as good as i thought, and chicago is impressing me more and more. Id swap detroit and chicago. But the sharks for 1st in the west is a good choice.

Off to the east. Pittsburgh fans, lets face the music...just because you won the stanley cup last year does NOT dub you the best team in the NHL this year. Washington was a very smart choice for the top of the eastern conference. So far this season, they have shown more depth than ever before...and semyon varlamov is only getting better. This team is a scoring machine so i think it will be hard to top them. But, I definintely belive pittsburgh is better than boston. Id put pittaburgh 2nd, jersey 3rd, and boston 4th. Judging on what Ive seen from these teams so far.

(i know a little more about teams in the eastern conference since I am a big fan of one of these teams and only get the eastern conference games. But i try my best to keep up with western conference!)

Tim Thomas is a terrible, streaky, hack of a goalie. He's over-rated and over paid. Keep playing Rask, he's younger but twice the goalie.

He had already fought someone in the game. Why should he have to fight Bertuzzi? The game was so long over, and Bertuzzi just couldn't let it go. It is pathetic what happened to Moore.

No, Bertuzzi shouldn't hang but he's still cruisin along in the NHL making 5 mil a year. Disgusting.

I really wish you would be a bit more educated and realize that we are NOT in the USA and Canadian laws (believe it or not) are different from USA laws. In Canada we have a limit on pain and suffering (this Moore knew, that's why his first attempt was to sue in Colorado) The judge correctly threw the trial out because it did not have the jurisdiction to comment on a case like this. I'm not saying that Bert was right in what he did, but everyone has to see that Moore NEVER would have made that much money out of the NHL for his 'career' anyways and to be asking for $38 mil is ridiculous. I agree to the max 20 mil and it should be split between Crawford and Bertuzzi because I highly doubt Bertuzzi would have done something if Crawford had not said anything.
There is obviously consent when entering into a sport and Moore accepted these injuries that could occur because of the sport itself. If you want to put partial blame on someone you should sue the coach of the Avs at that time for being stupid enough to put Moore back out onto the ice even when they were up by a few goals.

Please be at least a little bit educated and not comment when people obviously don't know what they're speaking of, it makes you all seem like morons.
