Ugh. I’m sorry but this just grosses me out. Not only do I really dislike Elisha Cuthbert but I think it’s just nasty how she is just turning into the hockey whore. Yeah, I said it. If I was Calgary Flames defenseman, Dion Phaneuf, I would be really turned off by the amount of NHL stickhandling this chick has done and I certainly wouldn’t want Sean Avery’s sloppy seconds. I noticed that Jodie over on Gossip on Sports was talking about it too.

Growing up in a small town, can really make your skin tough. Sticks and stones may break your bones, but words are not enough.
Even though they try to break you, with what they think they know, they’ll never know the inner matter, that really makes you grow.
They don’t understand the simple things, that life has to offer… Smelling the wild flowers, tasting the rain… instead they choose to suffer.
Agonizing to know, what makes the simple one tick. Speculating on what is unknown, until they’re nearly sick!
They have to say something, they always do! No regard for your feelings. It takes away from their “news!”
What one never expects is for it to get back to you!
But when it does, the trust is disrupted, when words in fact, don’t break bones, but the relationship is corrupted.
Simple is now more complicated than it really had to be. Wild flowers wilt, rain turns to acid, these words they speak so free.
Now the damage is done. Words exchanged with cause sad conflict. But you must teach the suffering words can hurt when not carefully picked.
Fruitless words can be destructive, and damage what you need to grow, all for the sake of being above simple, in an effort to be “more.”
But power is knowledge, and not the twisted tales they sew. Speak words of fact, still intact, only sincere truths will help us grow.
If only they would share words of honesty and they would just let simple be, then words will become more fruitful, and only then, you and they could grow “WE”…

Seriously, if you think she is ugly or unattractive (females I don’t care cause you’re just as vicious as dudes pointing out other chicks’ flaws) then you are a friggin fagula. Why is it that whenever somebody doesn’y agree with someone else they are calle a fag or a lesbian or whatever? It’s about time that people realized that everyone represents a different aspect or perspective. That is the way it is supposed to be so that we don’t live in a boring mundane world where we all see things the same way. We are all like snowflakes…. there are no two the same. Just like perspectives. There are not even two people on the entire earth who share the exact same perspective on everything. That’s what makes life great, everybody is different so we can learn and grow through other peoples
experiences. It is absolutely impossible for everyone to experience the exact same things or respond to said things in the exact same way. We were put on this planet to learn, grow, and experience everything that we possibly can and to share our gained knowledge so that we can help our fellow man (or woman) and the sooner people realize this the better this world will be for it. It’s time this world grew up an started accepting and respecting people for being different and learning from them instead of criticizing or insulting them.

I think Elisha is SMOKIN’ HOT ! Why can’t people just be happy for her. She’s 25 yrs old for crying out loud. If we were in Dion’s shoes we’d certainly be tappin’ her coz she is SMOKIN’ ! I said that already didn’t i? LOL…SMOKIN’ !!

I congratulate you on your well thought out post about the differences between individuals contributing to the overall good of mankind. No group of people nor individual should be painted with broad strokes or stereotypes.
But that being said I think you should take a look in the mirror and try to figure out why you’re picking a hockey message board with celebrity gossip as the platform for your “Snowflake” speech. Clearly, you either have ZERO sense of humor, or you are actually punking us all. The world is certainly worth your efforts, but I would reconsider where you exert your energies.
Elisha IS smokin hot, and damn it so is Phaneuf! How’s that for diversity! Put that in your PC pipe and smoke it.
Weird…I was just googling Elisha Cuthbert, and ran into all this drama about her.
I’m unhappy about those of you bashing her reputation based on her VERY short history of dating hockey players and her ex’s classless and derogatory remarks (did it occur to anyone that it might be sour grapes on Sean Avery’s part?)
For those of you bashing her reputation based on her movies, almost all actors and actresses get typecast after awhile. She happens to have a certain look. Frankly, I hope she gets to play Debbie Harry, though it looks as if Hollywood will give to part to Kirsten Dunst. Has anyone even seen any of her good movies, for that matter? I loved her in The Quiet and He Was A Quiet Man. On IMDB, it credits her for actually playing piano on The Quiet. The fact that people have only seen her “trashy” movies indicates poor choice on their part.
I’m generally not fond of blondes, because many of them look like the were molded from the same malibu barbie. Elisha Cuthbert actually has some character in her face that makes her much more interesting. And I do think she is very pretty.
I am also leery of anyone who claims to have gone to school with her and then bash her. There may be some adolescent issues there that need to be worked out.
I like her work and her look. I don’t know her as a person, and I doubt any of you do either. However, I am only judging her based on what I’ve actually seen, and it seems a lot of you are taking very personal potshots at her.
Wow, Jeanne…sounds like you are a bit jealous of your schoolmate there…something tells me you would trade places with her in a heartbeat.

Re: hockey message boards and what may or may not be appropriate thereon – everyone in the world brings their own unique perspective to bear on those things which interest them.
I am a hockey fan and continue to play in the beer leagues AND I AM GAY! I am also a fan of Dion Phaneuf! I like his ruggedness, his willingness to stick his nose in and his focus and intensity. I also think he is HOT! Were he gay, I’d like to date him!
There have been, are and always will be gay men in the NHL, as well as in other sports both professional and amateur. Let’s get over this absurd notion that sports and gay men or lesbians are incompatible. For those who will (inevitably) howl in protest at these remarks, please examine your own homophobia in the same way you have been taught to exanine your rtacism, sexism and abilism.

Dion Phaneuf does not hide behind his money and fame. Just because he has a girlfriend doesn’t mean you and probably a million other people have to be jealous of him, Dion has made something of himself, and I highly doubt you have. Frankly he doesn’t even make that much money. If you knew him at all, which you don’t, I feel obligated to let you know that every time his contract pays out he donates 500 thousand dollars to the Childrens hospital in calgary. Does that seem like some one who hinds behind his money and fame. There are many other people in the NHL who for a fact are more famous than Dion Phaneuf but do you know what, he doesn’t care, without recognition he donates his hard earned money to a childrens hospital. He is not a poor sport last year in a pre season game he checked someone into the boards and they were injured which by the way is part of the job, but after the game Dion waited outside that teams locker room and waited for 2 HOURS to apologize to him, so you seriously need to figure out the facts before you come on here and make up your crappy opinion of him, because the truth is he’ll never see this blog, he has much better time to spend than reading these comments. so I suggest before you make another statement. figure out the facts. and you can insult me as much as you want, because I really don’t care about your opinion of me , you don’t even know me.
