Iginla and Lecavalier To Be All-Star Captains

Jarome Iginla (Calgary Flames) and Vincent Lecavalier (Tampa Bay Lightning) will be the captains for the Eastern and Western teams (respectively) in the NHL All-Stars game on January 27, 2008.
This just made the game all that more interesting for me. Being a Calgary Flames fan, I can still taste the bitterness of having lost the Stanley Cup finals to the Tampa Bay Lightning in 2004. Back then, the two squared off and scrapped during Game 3, a game the Flames went on to win. Phantom goals aside, the series went to game 7 and was a truly heartbreaking, emotional loss for the Flames and their fans.
I know it’s not the Stanley Cup finals or anything but I’m hoping Iggy and Lecavalier bring some of that emotion to the ice during the All-Stars game. Should be fun!
