Ilya Kovalchuk Gets One-Game Suspension

Atlanta Thrashers forward, Ilya Kovalchuk, was suspended for one game without pay after he hit New York Rangers defenseman, Michal Rozsival, from behind. 

Kovalchuk was ejected from the game and Rozsival was cut and stayed down for a few minutes.  He’ll forfeit $34,224.60 which will go to the money going to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund.
