Is Luongo Really Ready to Return – Again?

Is this it (for real this time)? Will Vancouver Canucks goaltender, Roberto Luongo, return to the lineup after almost two months on the bench?
He’s saying that he feels like his groin injury is 100% healed and that during a 75-minute practice, he was able to play without holding anything back. On the Canucks website, he said: "I feel back to normal, so that’s good and I’m excited about it. It’s nice to be back. One full practice after not playing for seven weeks, I’m not sure I’m ready to play a game, but like I said it’s nice to be back with the boys and be part of the group again. We’re full-go right now. I did everything in practice. I didn’t hold anything back and I’m just taking it as if I was back playing. I’m ready to go and back to 100 percent."
Well, let’s hope he’s ready to hit the ground running because his team just dropped their fifth straight game at GM Place, despite the addition of veteran player, Mats Sundin.
Before he got the owie, Luongo was enjoying a mighty fine start to the season (11-5-2, 2.17 GAA, 5 shutouts). In the meantime, the Nucks have had to make do with Jason LaBarbera (2-1-2, 2.72 GAA, 23 percent) and Curtis Sanford (7-7-0, 2.62 GAA, 7 percent) between the pipes.
