Hockey Beat

Montador to Anaheim, Nokalainen to Boston

The Boston Bruins have acquired tough man Steve Montador from the steve montadorAnaheim Ducks in exchange for forward Petteri Nokelainen.

Montador has four goals, 16 assists and 125 penalty minutes in 65 games with the Ducks this season.  The 29-year-old becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer.

Monty will join his former Calgary Flames teammates on the Bruins which include Andrew Ference, Chuck Kobasew and Stephane Yelle.  As a Flames fan, this just makes me sad.  I miss those guys…

Nokelainen is currently sidelined with an eye injury.  The 23-year-old Finnish winger has three assists in 33 games this season.
