Montreal Canadiens Acquire Robert Lang

robert langRobert Lang has left the Chicago Blackhawks in favor of the Montreal Canadiens.  I can’t help but laugh a bit on a personal level since my family made a similar migration before I was born (they too left Chicago for Montreal, lol).

Anyway, the Blackhawks gained a second-round pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft in exchange for Lang.  I guess that’s fair and, of course, I’m wondering now how the forward will work alongside another new offensive Canadien, Alex Tanguay.  I still haven’t forgiven Darryl Sutter for trading him from Calgary but what can ya do, right?  Anyway, this could be good for Montreal.

Oh, and I guess it’s important to note that the deal also means that Mats Sundin is out of the picture.  According to Habs GM Bob Gainey, acquiring the veteran player is no longer in their plans.
