The Toronto Maple Leafs have traded forward Nik Antropov to the New York Rangers in exchange for a second round draft pick as well as a conditional draft pick. This is the first time he’s been traded since joining the Maple Leafs in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft (10th overall).
The 29-year old from Kazakhstan is in the final year of a two-year contract and is eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1, 2009.
