New York Rangers Fire Head and Assistant Coaches

The coaching staff for the New York Rangers is the latest shake-up
happening in the NHL. I’ve been reading reports all morning about the dismissal of both head coach, Tom Renney, and the assistant coach, Perry Pearn. That’s gonna be a huge change for the Rangers who have dropped from first place to barely being within a playoff spot.
It’s always risky to make such a huge coaching change at this point in the season but it’s better to try to save a team’s chances than to let things continue in a downward spiral (the other assistant coach, Mike Pelino, and goaltending coach, Benoit Allaire, are still with the club). Only time will tell whether this gamble will pay off…
