I was wondering who was going to sign troubled goaltender, Ray Emery… The Ottawa Senators unceremoniously bought out his contract last month and Atlant Mytishchi of the new Continental Hockey League has scooped him up, giving him a one-year deal worth $2 million.
According to his agent, J.P. Barry, the “Razor” hasn’t had a lot of teams asking about him. Barry went so far as to say “…it doesn’t seem like someone (in the NHL) wants to give him a second chance right now.”
Uhhh… can you blame them? I know that I wouldn’t sign him. There is some positive news (hopefully). His agent also said this: “I’ve been talking to Ray a lot over the last couple of months and I know he’s taken a lot of steps to make changes. This is his best opportunity to play next year.”
Word of advice to Emery – stay away from the Russian vodka and don’t throw your stick in the stands over there. I think they would actually fight back.

hey emery was an amazing goalie he may have made mistakes but he still stood out in the nhl world with his aggressive playing style.
