Red Wings Lose Hasek To Sore Hip

February 11, 2008 by Jeanne Dupuis
Filed under Detroit Red Wings, Injuries, News, Players

Detroit Red Wing goalie Dominik Hasek sports a 2.07 goals-against average this season. The Detroit Red Wings will be without Dominik Hasek for a while due to minor inflammation in the hip flexor of the aging, I mean veteran, goalie.  All joking aside, he does have impressive numbers with a 19-7-3 record this season despite already missing three games with a sore hip.

The Wings have called up goalie Jimmy Howard from the AHL to serve as backup to Chris Osgood.
