I wasn't upset that he got traded to Anaheim because I hate the Ducks and I absolutely know that there are fans there! What I meant, though, is that it's gonna be very different for him to go from Montreal, where hockey is basically a religion, to a city that isn't overly enthusiastic about the sport. I even said that I was happy that the Ducks seemed to appreciate what they were getting. I hope that clears up my commentary. I'm happy he's going to be with Selanne and I think he'll do fine with the Ducks but I'm furious with how he was treated by Montreal. I've been waiting for this all summer and am glad that it finally got done. I can understand you were dissapointed in Orange County's lack of knowledge about hockey and lack of support of the Ducks. I am too upset at the lack merchandise here, but I think you need to realize there are some hard core hockey/Ducks fans right here in California, and are very, very happy with the signing of Koivu. I suggest you go to the Ducks Message Board that can be found on the team's website, b/c the fans are well aware of the hockey player that just joined the Ducks family.
