Sens Goalie Ray Emery in Trouble Again

Ray Emery what are you doing!?!?! I have an inside source who tells me that Emery has made some friends that are not the greatest of influences and I wonder if that has had anything to do with it. I’m still hoping things settle down for this guy – he could have such a great future if he would stop blowing it!
What now? The Ottawa Senators goaltender showed up late for practice AGAIN on Monday after spending the All-Star break in Las Vegas and now faces possible suspension as the Sens prepare to play the New York Islanders tonight.
Emery, 26, was back on the ice with his teammates during Tuesday morning’s team practice, but the veteran goalie did not talk to reporters.
Emery found himself in hot water after he showed up at the rink at 4:04 p.m. local time Monday for the team’s 4 p.m. practice at the Islanders’ training rink, and was told not to take to the ice by the Ottawa coaching staff.

He might have been late because he thought the practice was at the Nassau Coliseum, where the Islanders play their home games, rather than the Islanders’ practice facility.
Senators coach John Paddock said he would address the media on Tuesday after sitting down with general manager Bryan Murray and Emery to find out what happened.
“I don’t want to make any comment on it right now,” Paddock told reporters after Monday’s practice. “We were going to go on the ice at 4 p.m. and when he wasn’t here, then it’s done with and it’s done with until I talk to [Murray] and we both talk to [Emery] … I don’t know.”
“I can’t comment on it. [Murray] is in town. I talked to him just before the team went on the ice,” said Paddock. “We’ll talk to [Emery], sometime in the next [24 hours] and see what [the] plan is.”
Let’s hope he just got confused about the location of the practice but even then it looks bad. If you’re getting millions to play for a team, you should definitely remember where practice is. Just a thought…
Big DEAL Emery was partying and he is getting suspended. RAy Lewis was involved in a double murder and he is rewarded the Super Bowl Ring. Lay OFF my hockey players.

Fair enough. Still, I think Ray needs to get himself in check before things get too out of hand.
Do you think there’s more tolerance in other sports than there is in hockey?
Absolutely, its all about money. Hockey players are in general good eggs. Even if they stray a tiny bit they are scrutinized.

Ray shouldn’t be comprimising his team’s position like that. They’re paying him to do well and he’s not exactly doing the best he could do, is he?
Lauren your right . Maybe Emery, being a former boxer, is out on the ice as an individual not a team player.
