Sidney Crosby Injury Update

sidney crosbyIt’s worse than I originally thought! Sidney Crosby will be off the ice for 6-8 weeks.  I was really hoping he’d only be out for a month but I guess not.  The Pittsburgh Penguins are going to have to pull together (and I think they can do it) to push towards the Stanley Cup finals without their captain.

Team doctors have confirmed the injury was a high-ankle sprain.

The Penguins (27-17-4, 58 points) have made considerable progress of late in order to overcome a poor start to become the leaders in the Atlantic Division.

Crosby will most likely be back in three weeks or less. He started skating yesterday ( feb 6 2008 ) Painlessly. Now all he has to do is start his training and hes good to go.

I think Crosby will return Early-mid march, but when he does return everyone watch out!
