Okay, things are pretty rough for the Colorado Avalanche. It was bad enough that they lost Joe Sakic and Ryan Smyth to injuries earlier this month but now their leading scorer Paul Stastny has been placed on the injured as of Saturday. He had his appendix removed two days earlier.
Stastny will likely miss up to three weeks and it’s pretty certain that he won’t be making it to the NHL All-Star game later this week. So far this season, he has 17 goals and a team-high 49 points in 46 games.
