Fenway Park To Host 2010 NHL Winter Classic

It’s the worst kept secret but, finally, it has been announced that Boston’s Fenway Park will host the 2010 Winter Classic which will feature a matchup between the Boston Bruins and the Philadelphia Flyers on January 1st.
Of course, NHL Commissioner, Gary Bettman, is already foaming at the mouth with excitement. He said: "a unique event deserves a unique venue, and we are delighted the Bruins and Flyers will renew their rivalry with the ‘Green Monster’ providing the backdrop. 2010 NHL Winter Classic at Fenway Park

The location for the 2010 NHL Winter Classic has been announced – Fenway Park! The athletic venue in Boston, Massachusetts is the oldest current Major League Baseball stadium and has been in operation since April 20, 1912. It has served as the home of the Boston Red Sox from the day it was opened.
I have really enjoyed the last two Winter Classics – 2008 at the Ralph Wilson Stadium (Buffalo Sabres vs. Pittsburgh Penguins) and 2009 at Wrigley Field (Chicago Blackhawks vs. Detroit Red Wings) – so I’m really looking forward to this. The Boston Bruins …read more
