Krejci Gets Multi-Year Deal with Bruins

After having a great year, David Krejci was offered a three-year deal (worth $3.5, $3.75 and $4 million per year) with the Boston Bruins.

Krejci earned the Bruins Seventh Player Award (which is awarded to those who play beyond expectations) and it’s easy to see why. 
This past season, he celebrated a career high in goals (22) and points with (73) in 82 contests.  He was second to only Marc Savard in assists and actually led the league with a +36 rating.

NHL Players Having Surgery in Off-Season

It seems that every day, there are more announcements about NHL players who will be going under the knife during the off-season. 

In what might seem like the least necessary procedure, Philadelphia Flyers center, Daniel Briere, will be having corrective eye surgery tomorrow.  Apparently, his contact lenses bothered him during the season and it will take him a few weeks to recover.  Eye surgery of any kind is a big deal to me so I really hope it goes well.  I’m sure he’s going to get the best medical care but it’s just such a gamble that I haven’t …read more
