Sharks’ Roenick to Announce Retirement

Jeremy Roenick is expected to announce his retirement tomorrow and I’m both sad and happy about it.  Of course, anytime a great player like Roenick hangs up his skates it’s a little sad but it’s hard to feel sorry for a guy who has had a great career that spanned over 20 seasons.

Drafted eighth overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in 1988, he joined the San Jose Sharks as a free agent in 2007.  The 39-year-old is a two-time 50 goal scorer, he’s 36th on the all-time goals list (513), 48th on the all-time assist list (703) and for tied 39th …read more
