Where is this miracle on ice we’ve been waiting months to see? Former Toronto Maple Leafs team captain, Mats Sundin, was supposed to improve the chances that the Vancouver Canucks would make the playoffs, yet, with him and goaltender, Roberto Luongo, back in the lineup, the team continues to drop points.

Sundin Triumphant in First Game as Canuck

It finally happened. Mats Sundin graced the hockey world with his presence by debuting as a member of the Vancouver Canucks during tonight’s game against the Edmonton Oilers. I joked that he was waiting for the planets to be aligned and, well, maybe it happened for the guy since the Nucks beat the Oilers 4-2.
The veteran centre hadn’t dressed for a game since the end of last season so it’s been a good nine months since he played and he looked pretty good. It wasn’t anything explosive tonight but I’m curious to see what he brings to the table in …read more
