]]> I’m reading reports that Buffalo Sabres goaltender, Ryan Miller, may be getting ready to return to the ice after missing a month due to a sprained ankle. 

ryan millerIf you remember the netminder was hit during what I think was a dirty play by New York Rangers player, Scott Gomez.  He seemed to deliberately try to take Miller out and succeeded.  

Anyway, the good news is that Miller is scheduled to start against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Friday.  The bad news is that it is probably too late for the Sabres to make the playoffs.  The team has gone 3-7-2 without Miller and, despite having been comfortably tied for sixth in the east on the night Miller was injured, they have now fallen out of playoff contention and sit in 10th place.
