The Canadian junior team knocked off the U.S. with a 4-1 victors in the semifinals. Former London Knights goaltender, Steve Mason, had been dealt to the Ontario Hockey League’s Kitchener Rangers earlier in the day and delivered a 33-save performance in Canada’s win in Pardubice, Czech Republic.
"It was sweet," Canadian forward Colton Gillies said. "That was our best one so far.
"We haven’t accomplished anything though so we’re trying not to
show our emotions too much."
Canada is hoping for its fourth gold medal in a row when they square off against Sweden in Saturday’s final (2 p.m. EST). Russia and the U.S. will tangle in Saturday’s bronze-medal game at 10 a.m. EST.

Congrats, C-town. We’ll get you next year!!
