Toronto Maple Leafs vs. New York Islanders In a weird game last night, the Toronto Maple Leafs and New York Islanders hockey teams were both forced to use their backup goalies.  Before the start of the game, it was announced that Vesa Toskala was being listed as day-to-day with a groin pull.  Then, after deflecting 7 shots on goal and recording an assist, Rick DiPietro abruptly left the game, apparently due to a knee injury he suffered during the warm up.

New York Islanders topped the Toronto Maple Leafs 4-3.
