Yzerman to Lead Team Canada at 2010 Olympics

steve_yzerman_ncFormer Detroit Red Wings superstar, Steve Yzerman may be the man who brings Team Canada out of the trenches and back to the top.  He has been named the executive director of our Winter Olympic hockey team for the 2010 Vancouver Games

He’s going to be replacing Wayne Gretzky who I thought did a piss poor job of picking a team last time (how could he not include Sidney Crosby and Dion Phaneuf – seriously?) even though he led the team to a gold medal at the 2002 Salt Lake City Games

Well, Yzerman has the experience to do the job – he has competed in two Olympics (including the gold-winning team from 2002).  I am hoping we can redeem ourselves after this most recent Games.
