Barack Obama a Phillies Fan – Video

Barack Obama, who will most likely be elected the President of the United States within a few weeks, was campaigning in Philadelphia recently and proclaimed that he’s a Phillies fan. The video of his proclamation can be found at the end of the entry.

In the video, Obama explains that while he’s truly a fan of the Chicago White Sox, he’s a Phillies fan for the time being now that the White Sox have been eliminated from the playoffs. With Philadelphia a vital state in the presidential election, a few brownie points can’t hurt Obama.

Currently, the Phillies are up 3-1 against the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS. Over in the ALCS, the Tampa Bay Rays crushed the Boston Red Sox 13-4 to take a 3-1 lead in the best of seven series.
