Bartolo Colon to the White Sox

Rumors are pointing to Bartolo Colon joining the Chicago White Sox on a one-year minor league deal. Bartolo ColonColon will reportedly be given an opportunity to win a spot in the starting rotation.

Last season with the Boston Red Sox, Colon put up decent enough stats but he was hurt for much of the season. The 35-year-old from the Dominican Republic had a 3.92 ERA and a record of 4-2 in seven starts.

Colon previously pitched for the White Sox in 2003. That season he pitched a career-high 242 innings and had a 15-13 record to go along with a 3.87 ERA.

His last dominating season came in 2005 with the Los Angeles Angeles. In that season, he had a 21-8 record and an ERA of 3.48. However, since then he has only 11 total victories. The White Sox are obviously hoping that he can get back on track and turn back the clock.
