Bonds Signs with Giants

December 8, 2006 by Geoff Young

Barry Bonds has signed a 1-year, $16 million deal to remain in San Francisco. Not much to say about Bonds beyond what we already know: He’s a truly great player who is on the verge of breaking Hank Aaron’s career home run mark and whose legacy is irreparably tainted by alleged use of steroids.

Personally, I can’t wait till Bonds retires so baseball and its fans won’t have to deal with him anymore. His act is beyond tired, and at this point, I think I’d rather be subjected to a lifetime of Mr. Belvedere reruns than sit through another season of Bonds.

  1. [...] Remember that thing I said in December about Barry Bonds signing with the Giants? Apparently it’s still not a done deal. [...]
