Cards Looking at Juan Gonzalez?

The St. Louis Cardinals reportedly are considering inviting Juan Gonzalez to spring training. Yes, that Juan Gonzalez.
Dan at Baseball Think Factory sums it up pretty nicely. Two open questions:
- How is Gonzalez only 38 years old?
- What is Danny Tartabull doing these days?
Ha Ha. Danny Tartabull used to be my favorite player. I can’t believe any major league team is looking at Juan Gonzalez. I wonder what Howard Johnson is doing.
LOL. Yeah, HoJo would be solid. Kirk Gibson, Von Hayes, Andy Van Slyke — so many options if you just know where to look.
Danny Tartabull, that’s a name I haven’t heard in sometime. I remember when he was traded from the Mariners…man were people outraged. But they got over it later on, when a kid came up from the minors…wearing #24.
