Chipper Jones Injury Update – Braves Injury

June 27, 2008 by Stephen Kersey

Chipper Jones is having a great yet injury filled season. However, it appears as if Jones will be able to return to the lineup on Friday as a DH. He had been sidelined with a quadriceps injury.

On the season, Jones has a .394 batting average with 16 homers and 46 RBIs. He was batting over .400 until recently but he remains one of the hottest hitters in baseball.

This quadriceps injury has bothered Jones for much of the season. Additionally, Jones got injured in a freak accident involving a batting cage.

If Jones can shake off the injury bug, he can likely complete the best season of his career. .400 is likely out of reach … but not impossible.
