Let me preface this by saying that I’m a big fan of gaming. I mean, I take showers and stuff, but I love playing games — mostly board and card games (Munchkin, Robo Rally, Wiz-War), but some video games as well. So when I call Curt Schilling a nerd, that’s actually a compliment.
One game I’ve purposely avoided over the years is EverQuest. Knowing how I function, it’s pretty safe to say that this thing would completely dominate my life if I got started. So I’ll leave it to folks like Schilling, who talks about his obsession in an article at GameDaily. Great quote:
These days, it’s not such a bad thing to stay in your room and play on your computer. That way, I’m never going to be the lead story on ESPN [the next] morning for being out late and doing something stupid.
Ah, smart fellow. He must be wearing his +3 Cap of Thinking. What a nerd. Gotta love it.
