Dinesh Patel and Rinku Singh - India Baseball Prospects

India is a country of more than 1.1 billion people. Only China has a larger population in the world. The most popular sport in India is cricket, however two baseball prospects might be able to change that. Dinish Patel and Rinku Singh are a pair of pitchers from India who recently worked out for Major League Baseball scouts.
Patel and Singh were discovered thanks to “The Million Dollar Arm”, a reality television show in India. More than 25,000 contestants competed to see who had the best baseball arms. Patel and Singh were the winners.
During their workout in front of scouts, both showed they may have enough arm strength to appeal to a big league team. Patel pitched as fast as 90 MPH, while Singh was in the mid-80’s.
With both players 19 years old with virtually no wear and tear on their arms, it isn’t unlikely that a team would be willing to let them continue to show what they can do at the minor league level. It’s a longshot that either will ever make the major leagues — but it’s a good story, nonetheless.
Good luck to Dinesh Patel and Rinku Singh.

THEY WILL MAKE IT TO THE BIG LEAGUES
Dinesh Patel and Rinku Singh signed with the Pirates. What are the pirates thinking? they trade away all their good players like Jason Bay and leave some of their best pitchers in triple a.(Gorzealanny and Snell) Then they go and sign 2 pitchers who at times hit 90 mph but with no breaking balls. They’re going to get crushed in the big leagues and probably even the farm system. I wonder what the pirates trying to build, but I know its not a franchise.
