Kid Impersonates Reporter, Gets Fine and Fame

Some kid apparently impersonated an NBC reporter last summer and acted like an idiot when asking questions of Padres catcher Mike Piazza. Now the kid has been fined for his actions. Funny or sad? Probably a little of each. From the kid’s mother:

He had no idea he was doing anything that wrong and he just wanted to hang out with Piazza and the Mets… We financed his obsession with the Mets, so maybe it’s all our fault.”

Maybe? You think? Brilliant…
