Knuckle Curve

Leiter in the Czech Republic

I continue to be fascinated at how far baseball has traveled around the world. From the Confederation of European Baseball comes news that former big-league pitcher Al Leiter visited the Czech Republic earlier this month to participate in an instructional clinic, sign autographs, and generally serve as an ambassador for baseball.

Incidentally, the CEB web site is proving to be quite the handy resource. Click on the “Country” tab at the top and you’re presented with a startling number of options along the left side of the page. Baseball is being played in Malta. How cool is that?
