According to a report in the New York Post, Manny Ramirez has indicated to those close to him that he would like to sign with the New York Yankees in the offseason. Ramirez, who will become a free agent at the end of the season, was recently traded from the Boston Red Sox to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Why would Ramirez want to play with the Yankees? Not only is New York where Ramirez grew up and not only do the Yankees give him a good shot to make the playoffs every season, it would also be the ultimate way to get back at the Red Sox. Ramirez didn’t have the most peaceful of breakups from the Red Sox and would like nothing more to punish Boston for the rest of his career.
So far with the Dodgers, Ramirez is playing very well. He seems to be re-energized after getting out of Boston and has the Dodgers playing like legitimate contenders in the National League. If Ramirez is only going to play one year in Los Angeles, he’d best help his stock by helping the Dodgers do as well as possible.
Once the offseason comes, that’s when he can start thinking about signing with the Yankees and prepare his dish of revenge somewhere around 20 times per season.

Perhaps Joe Torre can tell Manny Ramirez what to expect in New York.

well all i can say is manny turned out to be a complete a-hole. i have defended him everytime he has done something uncalled over the years but theres just no defending this. as a longtime redsox fan and manny ramirez fan, looking back, i will not remember manny for the good hes done here in boston, only this rediculousness, which he has brought on himself
Manny Ramirez, WILL be a New York Yankee this off season because that`s been his childhood dream!!! Go Yankees!!!
