Jon Talley goes to my high school and he is one amazing catcher i'll tell ya. On Varsity this season he hit 13 HR had 38 RBI's and hit .380 in 28 games. He's got a great arm too. Never seen a catcher with so much potential. Watch for this guy he could be up in the MLB within 3-4 years.

To follow up on some of these guys:

--Tolisano went to Toronto at #85 overall
--Horton went to Oakland at #90

I'll continue to keep an eye out for the others...

The Ultimate "sleeper" for 2007 draft.

Josh Horton (touted to go middle of the first round) played High School ball against another Orange County (NC) player by then name of Justin Fyle. Horton got UNC....Fyle got Charleston Southern University. both division I schools.
They enjoyed 7 common opponents in 2006. Florida St. Gardner Webb, Campbell University, Boston College, Coastal Carolina, High Point University, and Winthrop.
The results? Horton .400 ba 17 hits, 3 doubles, 2 home runs.
Fyle: 4 home runs (despite their efforts to constantly pitch around CSU's #1 hitter), 1 triple, 4 doubles and 27 hits. ba: .430

Always compared as hitters, Fyle also led the Big South conference with 10 assists from left field in 54 games.

Bring on the draft, it should be interesting. CD

I'd say John Flanagan of Belleville West H.S. in Illinois has to be one of THE hottest right now. He threw TWO "no hitters" last week. Three so far this year. He's 10-0. ERA right at, or below 1.00..and, his curve, along with his 90+ mph fastballs, and other pitches makes him darn near un-hittable. This 6'6" 220 pound left hander is the talk of the St. Louis metropolitan area..and, is getting a ton of talk from scouts. "Hot"? You bet he is. This kid is gonna be a superstar.
