New Rivalry In The Mix…Jays vs. Sox?

Could it be, could it be, could my Sox actually be making more enemies that don’t even wear Yankees jersey’s!?  Seems to be that could be the case after the home opener against the Toronto Blue Jays.

Seems as though pitcher Josh Beckett ruffled some Blue Jay feathers, namely those of former Red Sox Shea Hillenbrand with some post-game comments.  It’s the classic story, guy throws important pitches to another guy, guy swings at ball four and hits into an inning-ending double play, first guy makes off-hand digs at second guy’s choice, second guy gets mad.

So I guess that’s where we stand now, a future rivalry in the making?  Perhaps.  At least the Red Sox won their home opener…oh yeah, so did the Yankees.
