Nine Things to Do While Waiting for Baseball Season

This is the worst time of the year. I try to care about football, but all I can think when I watch games is that the ball is way too big and what’s up with all the body armor? With that in mind, here are some ways to pass the time while we’re waiting for baseball to return:
- Go to the movies. Might I recommend Juno. Or, if it has to be about baseball (believe me, I understand), go nuts.
- Stare at the sky.
- Play finger baseball.
- Okay, go ahead, watch some football; I forgive you. Say hey to James and David for me.
- Have some more coffee. Hey, Starbucks sells those milkshake things to kids, so it must be good for you, right?
- While you’re at it, grab one of those burgers with six strips of bacon. I hear they’re to die for.
- What are we up to, seven of these?
- Seriously, there are not nine things to do while waiting for baseball season.
- Oh, you could download the Lahman database. That should keep you busy for a while.
Sigh. Are we there yet?
I feel your pain. Hang in there, brother.
Hockey?…No?…well I thought it was worth a shot.
Go to Canada, that’s what I did. Or, catch up on your Playstation for a few months. The movies is a great idea, and I recommend seeing Charlie Wilson’s War. Great acting (Phillip Seymour Hoffman steals the show), good plot and plenty of eye candy to choose from (I had no idea Julia Roberts’ boobs were that big).

Steve: Hockey is good. I miss the Gulls. Crossword puzzles is another possibility. I got hooked on those over Thanksgiving.
Eric: Thanks for the movie tip; I’ve been wondering about that one — previews look good.
I think the Wife and I are going to see it this weekend.
