No No-No’s For 720 Days

Wow.  This is something, I’ll admit, I did not know when I woke up this morning.  The last time a no-hitter was thrown in Major League Baseball was 720 days ago.  A year and 355 days!

The last one thrown was Randy Johnson’s Perfect Game back in 2004.  This, according to the article I just read, marks the longest no-hitter drought since WWII.  Crazy.

Is the pitching getting worse?  Is the hitting getting better?  Is it a combination of both?  Or is it just a fluke that it just hasnt’ happened since?  I dont’ know.  What do you guys think???
