Oops…Tavarez Suspended 10 Games
I told ya I’d keep up on this. A few days ago I reported about the wild fight between Julian Tavarez and Joey Gathright in what should have been a peaceful Spring Training game. Well the results are in and they aren’t lookin’ so hot for Tavarez or the Red Sox.
For his part in the fracas (see photo below) Julian Tavarez received a 10 game suspension. Ouch. At least it’s early and the 10 days shouldn’t hurt much. Also a stroke of luck, the Sox have 2 games off that week, so he’ll only really be missing 8. Phew.
Nevertheless boys, stop the fighting, play baseball. If we wanted to watch hockey, well, we would still probably look for a baseball game, but you know what I mean, knock it off.
