Orioles Sign Millar

For all their overspending on mediocre arms, the Baltimore Orioles made a pretty nice move in re-signing first baseman Kevin Millar. The 1 year, $2.75 million deal actually is very reasonable considering that Millar hit .272/.374/.437 in 2006. He’s no worse an option than Detroit’s Sean Casey, who was a relative bargain at 1 year, $4 million. What can I say — this is a smart signing by the Orioles.
