Orioles Sign Payton

The Baltimore Orioles have signed outfielder Jay Payton to a 2-year deal worth $9.5 million. Payton saw action at all three outfield spots in 2006 with the Oakland A’s but primarily has been a center fielder throughout his career. I don’t mean to insinuate that the O’s did something smart, but this one kind of speaks for itself:
