I’m a Mariners fan and not only did we get hosed in the trades our eminent genius GM made this winter, but in today’s news Ichiro is quoted as saying that he wants to go elsewhere when his contract expires after this season. I believe we’re screwed for years to come.
Yeah, there have been some real head-scratchers up your way this winter. That would be a real shame if Ichiro bolts. Even though I think he’s overrated in some circles, it seems from afar like he represents Seattle well and he’s the kind of player that’s good for the game. Hopefully the M’s can get their act together and work something out with him.
