I shouldn’t be so cynical just as spring training is getting underway, but MLB is kind of forcing my hand. Maybe if I get it out of the way now…
As always, additional comments are welcome.

As far as I’m concerned, you could put any other two names up there and I’d always pick Bud Selig.
All the deodorant in the world won’t help that crew any. I don’t care who “wins” that poll, they all stink enough to knock a buzzard off a chum wagon filled with dead skunks.
Anthony, you raise an excellent point.
Meanwhile, Doug gets our “metaphor of the day” award. Well, we don’t have any such award, but you get the idea…
It is truly humbling that my unguarded and unvarnished emotional outburst should receive such a prestigious non-award. When you speak from the heart good things can almost happen, I guess. I would like to thank Roger, Bud, Brian, and everyone else who has tried to put a few .45 slugs into the kneecaps of our national pastime’s integrity for making this possible. (I’m not angry. Really. Pettitte will vouch for me.)
“Good things can almost happen.” Dude, you are on a roll. The important thing, of course, is that you’re not angry. Really, life becomes so much simpler when you just abandon all hope.
Abandon hope, yes. Baseball, never.
