Richie Sexson has had an interesting ride in 2008. While with the Seattle Mariners, Sexson struggled to swing the bat — hitting .218 in 74 games with the Mariners. Along the way, Sexson threw his helmet at a pitcher and started a brawl. For his effort, he was suspended and subsequently waived by the Mariners.
Now it appears as if Sexson has reappeared as a member of the New York Yankees. According to multiple reports, Sexson is set to sign a contract with the Yankees. He should see time on the field at both first base and designated hitter.
Let’s see if Sexson can keep his helmet on his head this time.

Keep on your helmet, Richie!
