Sherry Dies at 71

December 20, 2006 by Geoff Young

Former big-league pitcher, coach, and manager Larry Sherry is dead at age 71. Winner of the 1959 World Series MVP as a rookie reliever for the Dodgers, Sherry had been battling cancer for several years. His older brother, Norm, also played and managed at the big-league level.

My condolences go out to Sherry’s family and friends.
