Adam Dunn has hit exactly 40 home runs in each of the last four seasons. The 29-year-old outfielder is a free agent and has interested quite a number of teams. Here are the top destinations based on Adam Dunn rumors.
Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers may have given up in their hope of re-signing Manny Ramirez. If that is the case, Dunn is the next logical option for Los Angeles. He’s not quite as talented but he can replace most of the bop in the middle of the lineup that Ramirez provided.

A few days ago, we speculated on where Mark Teixeira will end up. That five-team race appears to be down to four teams after the Los Angeles Angels announced that they have rescinded the offer to Teixeira.
The Angels’ offer is believed to have been an eight-year contract worth at least $160 million. Sources indicate that the Angels didn’t believe they were still in the running and didn’t want to waste time on a lost cause.
Now that the Angels have dropped out, the remaining four teams in the running are the New York Yankees, Baltimore Orioles, Washington Nationals and the Boston …read more

Adam Dunn Traded – Arizona Diamondbacks
August 11, 2008 by Stephen Kersey

The Arizona Diamondbacks have watched the Los Angeles Dodgers acquire a couple of big name talents, including Manny Ramirez. Now the D’Backs have made their move by trading three minor leaguers to the Cincinnati Reds for slugger Adam Dunn.
Currently, Arizona only leads the Dodgers by 1.5 games in the National League West. The team’s bats, which were blazing earlier in the season, have cooled off considerably as of late. The infusion of Adam Dunn into the lineup should help tremendously.
Dunn is tied for the lead in home runs in the major leagues. His 32 homers are …read more

While in a heated argument on the radio with a frustrated fan, Toronto Blue Jays general manager lashed out at Cincinnati outfielder Adam Dunn. The caller said that the Blue Jays should consider trading for Dunn, which set Ricciardi off.
Said Ricciardi: “Do you know the guy doesn’t really like baseball that much? Do you know the guy doesn’t have a passion to play the game that much? How much do you know about the player? There’s a reason why you’re attracted to some players and there’s a reason why you’re not attracted to some players. I don’t think you’d …read more
Rookie Sensation? Reds Jay Bruce Called Up
May 26, 2008 by Stephen Kersey
The Cincinnati Reds have decided to give their batter order a bit of a jolt by calling up super outfield prospect Jay Bruce. Bruce, who is currently tearing up minor league pitching, will be called up on Tuesday.
Currently, the Reds outfield isn’t producing much at the plate. Ken Griffey, Jr., Adam Dunn and Corey Patterson are each batting less than .255. The 21-year-old Bruce will be given a shot to earn an everyday spot in the lineup. Patterson, who is hitting around the Mendoza line, seems to be the most likely one to be the odd …read more
Funky Cold Kuroda and Liftoff in Milwaukee

More games? Okay, if you insist:
Dodgers at Diamondbacks, 12:40 p.m. PT — Hiroki Kuroda looked outstanding in his North American debut. I expected the funky delivery that is characteristic of pitchers who come over from Japan, but the velocity caught me by surprise. He was pumping 93-mph fastballs against the Padres. Micah Owings gets the call for Arizona. He dominated the Rockies in his first start of ‘08 (although he only went 1-for-4 at the plate, LOL). Wasn’t there talk that the Snakes might stick Owings in the field at some point? I think that’s crazy, but it would be …read more
