Alex Rodriguez Hits Two Homers in One Inning

Heading into the top of the sixth inning, the New York Yankees trailed the Tampa Bay Rays 2-0. Then Alex Rodriguez and the Yankees exploded.
With Johnny Damon and Mark Teixeira on base, Rodriguez hit a homer to put the Yankees up 2-0. Later in the same inning, Rodriguez came to bat with the bases loaded and hit a grand slam. One inning. Two homers. Seven RBIs. Not a bad way to end regular season play.

Alex Rodriguez Surgery – Injury Update

Alex Rodriguez, arguably the most dangerous hitting in the game over the last decade, underwent surgery on his hip to repair a torn labrum. The surgery, which took more than an hour to perform, will sideline Rodriguez for up to nine weeks.
The good news is that doctors didn’t find anything unexpected during the procedure. The surgery ended up going exactly as expected.

Alex Rodriguez to play for Dominican Republic

Alex Rodriguez, the superstar third baseman for the New York Yankees, has reportedly decided to play for the Dominican Republic in the 2009 World Baseball Classic. The World Baseball Classic will be played in March.
In 2006, Rodriguez opted to play for the United States in the World Baseball Classic. However, Rodriguez has apparently had a change of heart. He’s eligible to play for the Dominican Republic due to the fact that both of his parents were born in the country. Additionally, Rodriguez lived in the Dominican Republic when he was a child.
